At Direct Care Training & Resource Center, Inc., we know that real confidence in an emergency comes from hands‑on practice—not from watching a video or clicking through an online module. That’s why we conduct live, in-person, skill‑focused CPR and First Aid training every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Livonia, Michigan. These sessions are designed to build practical competence for professionals across home care, group homes, industrial environments, office settings, and schools.
In settings where vulnerable individuals depend on quick, accurate responses, CPR and First Aid proficiency can make the difference between life and tragedy. Staff who are properly trained not only respond faster but also remain calmer, make better decisions, and support safer environments overall. For group home and home care staff, this skill set is essential—many medical emergencies happen in everyday living situations, and immediate action is critical. In schools and office environments, where large numbers of people gather, preparedness is equally vital. And in industrial settings, where workplace injuries can be more severe, proper First Aid knowledge is a foundational safety requirement.
To complement these life‑saving skills, we also offer Bloodborne Pathogens training every Monday at 1:00 p.m. This program reinforces OSHA-aligned knowledge and ensures workers understand how to protect themselves and others from exposure risks. From proper use of personal protective equipment to incident reporting and safe cleanup procedures, this training is crucial for anyone who may encounter bodily fluids or injury‑related hazards.
